I am saddened to read this, when Eoin was looking for a home we had a viewing with him, we really wanted him but our existing Grey was a bit bossy with him and we didn't think that would be fair on Eoin. I felt so bad that we couldn't offer him a home but shortly after our visit he found his forever home, rest easy Eoin, you were a beautiful special boy, lots of love to your family...sleep tight sweetheart xxxxx

It is with immense sadness we heard wonderful Eoin has gone to Rainbow Bridge. His family are devastated. He had a fabulous, happy life with them and shared his home with Greyhound buddies Shaun, Peg and brothers Roy and Saddle.

This time last year we asked if we could foster the beautiful Eoin for two weeks over Christmas. It soon became clear there was no way we could let him go. Cant believe its been 12 months already its gone so quick. He is such a loving boy absolutely loves his cuddles & snuggles. He is a very quiet boy think I've only heard him bark once! Eoin is very excited when we come home and especially at walk times. He soon settled in to life with lazy Shaun and naughty Peg and is now the chief food thief, even running up off the garden with frozen chicken breasts and having a right tug of war trying to retrieve them! He has blossomed into a lovely boy, even regained his fur. Absolutely love him to bits he has made our family complete. Love you always Eoin xxxx

Have just booked the lovely Shaun, Peg & Eoin into have pamper sessions with Auntie Lorna on Saturday. Just an update on Eoin, he settled straight away & is so relaxed and settled. He has come on so well & is doing really well. After nagging my lovely husband for nearly 3 months to foster Eoin its the best decision he ever made. They all get along really well, Shaun being in charge grumbles at them if they are annoying him, peg is the naughty one & Eoin & Peg play together while Shaun sleeps!! When my husband suggested having a retired grey i didn't know what to expect but they are nothing like I imagined. They are so loving and gentle & give you so much love, I couldn't be without them now although a little more bed & sofa space would be nice! xxx

Eoin so glad you have finally found your forever home. You are the reason we first called Daybreaks, although you wasn't right for us, we would never of found our beautiful Pablo without first seeing your photo. Well done beautiful boy xxx

As i said in an earlier post, my husband and i fell in love with Eoin and wanted him so much but our other grey Dexter didnt really take to him and saw him as weaker than him and would have bossed him around which wouldnt have been fair on him, i was so upset as i really wanted him, but things have a way of working out and i know he has found the right forever home for him. Am absolutely over the moon to officially take Eoin home today!! Since we fostered him for Christmas he has come on so much, he has new hair all over his legs & bottom bless him. He has really settled in with Shaun & Peg and he is such a good boy. I really don't understand why he was there so long. He is such a gentle & quiet boy and loves lots of cuddles. Our first boy Shaun was also at Daybreaks for a long time he too is gentle & quiet & settled straight away. Our girl Peg was a different story, she suffered terribly from separation anxiety but has come through it and is a happy little girl, loving to play with her new brother!! For anyone looking for a grey please don't overlook the quiet ones they can be your best friend and give you much love in return. Have to give a massive thank you to Kate & Ruth for all your support. Also to my lovely husband for allowing me to have three but the goddard residence is now full!!! xxx

OMG the bigggest surprise ever my lovely husband has reserved beautiful Eoin for me today, without me knowing !!! What a perfect day!! We had been at the kennels with Ruth today and she has had the most awful day with the no electric , no heating or lighting. We are so grateful to Ruth & Kate for all they do with rehoming the greys, they do a fantastic job in trying circumstances. We are so grateful for all the love and support they give us, thanks for being so fantastic, love to you both and all the volunteers, you are such special people XXX

Eoin is having a lovely time with Shaun & Peg & is being a very good boy. He has made the sofa his own & is having sleeps on Shauns bed! He is so loving and loves to have big cuddles and fuss.Eoin is eating very well & is so relaxed. He loves his walks & gets very excited to go out. All in all all things are very good. Eoin has spent the last two days with us in Tamworth. What a gentle, confident boy he is! Katie and Henry welcomed him in, swapping beds, toys & mooching around the garden together like they had know one another for years! He enjoyed his food, treats and especially play time. Emptying the toy box twice! On Saturday we all went into the town center, Eoin loved all the attention he received, only the squirrels giving him any cause to pull on the lead. What a busy weekend Eoin has had!...Sounds as though he loved meeting everyone at Mell Square. Xxx

The lovely Eoin accompanied me to the Mell Square roadshow yesterday afternoon and despite the weather, he had a lovely time. He jumped into the car with no hesitation whatsoever and off we went. He wanted to look at everything out of the window, so only sat down for about 2 minutes! The stairs in the car park were no problem (either up or down the stairs). He desperately wanted to arrive in double-quick time, as there was lots to see, but settled down into a very gentle and calm young man when meeting people and had plenty of young children wanting to give him some fuss, which he took with no problems whatsoever. He towered above one little girl, who wanted to fuss all of our Greys, but he was so gentle when stood next to her. I think he was a little put out when it was time to come back, but we soon got into a trot back to the car. He was fab when I opened the boot of the car back at Daybreaks and just stood there waiting for me to give the word to jump out. Eoin is such a lovely boy and has the softest looking eyes,a real heart-melter. I think he really does need a sofa to call his own, just wish I could persuade the other half that it's ours!! Mand x

You had a lot of fun in the run this morning Eoin. Such a cute, playful boy. Just don't understand why you are not on a sofa yet. Loads of hugs, gorgeous. xx

A greyhound may be for life , not just for Christmas , but they're a bit like Christmas in that you get out what you put in. Invest some time in this beautiful chap and you'll have a friend for life.I truly believe they're medicinal too -my blood pressure went back down after having our grey and taking her for walks.

Hi helenanddave, results back show he has a urine infection. I am going to collect some antibiotics tomorrow and hopefully this will help. He has put on 2kg recently which is definitely a step in the right direction :-)

We were delighted to be able to take this fab boy for his birthday day out yesterday. He came to ours to join in with Sully's birthday celebrations :) He has got on well with our 2 greyhounds, was friendly towards us and my boys, settled nicely in the house on which ever bed my 2 would let him, used the garden to toilet, he can easily manage the stairs, ate very well, enjoyed a massage and pamper and walked well on his lead to the park, was quite interested in small fluffy creatures in the distance but didn't over react. Eoin is the sweetest boy..... He started limping today and on investigation I found a tiny piece of grit embedded in his pad :-( He has a lovely big bandage to make his foot a bit more comfortable for a couple of days and hopefully he will be better. He was so brave and is so gentle..... one very gorgeous fella x

We popped in today especially to see Eoin, as he is distantly related to our Katie! Katie & Henry accompanied Eion on a walk up the A45, he walks really well, very relaxed! I'll put some photos of all three blues together on my Flicker site. If i had let my heart rule my head he would be curled up on our sofa! x
