Sorry to hear of your losses seana, this whole situation is dreadful, but glad you are well health wise and glad it was just a scare for you. We're all ok touch wood but it is such a vile time for all, but this is starting to feel like 'normal' now! Thank goodness for my animals during all this as, as ever they've got me through but poor jets legs have shrunk with all the walking but bless him hes pulled something this week so on strict lead only exercise and been getting a lift everywhere rather than walking so hes making the most of it! The only good thing is that at 8 months, mia is now a professional horse rider as has just rode everyday...daddy is seeing £signs as mommy now wants a pony! I was due back june but furloughed till july at the moment, but tbf happy as get more time with all my children (fur and non fur!). Love to all anyway xxx

Thank you Lucy. The boys are well although Daddy Melly is ageing with weaker back legs but I think we still have plenty of life together yet please god. It has been a difficult few weeks, 4 deaths, 1 from covid...no underlying health issues...my parents oldest friend. Good age at 79 I guess but still young enough & was healthy enough to have had some more years. I had a health scare (not covid) but thankfully my doctor was wrong. Just a niggly condition but not life threatening!! I was panicking so much about the boys so could happily throttle the GP for a very stressful few days. Why is it some people just assume the absolute worst!! Workwise because I work alone I haven't been affected so all pretty normal here. Are you working from home now or furloughed?? I know you were due to return. Hope you are all coping. I feel deeply for young families like you and the very elderly who are not coping so well. Lets pray that things will start to improve sooner rather than later. People can not live like this for much longer so we might as well get on and learn to cope with the situation otherwise the whole country will be bankrupt!! Lots of love to all of you. Xxxx

Yay....Granny has finally gotten round to officially changing my name from Fergal Daybreaks to Fergal Connolly. I was beginning to think I hadn't behaved well enough these past 9 months!! Daddy is delighted as he is now very elderly and was panicking he might not be around to see the adoption. He says he now knows I am in good hands. I love my Daddy and Granny soooo much and of course my wonderful stepbrother who licks my ears nearly every day to show me how much he cares. May all the other foster boys and girls be lucky to soon be adopted. Lots of love to everyone from Fergal xxxx

Thk you for your support & kind words Lucy....they mean a lot. I am feeling much calmer now he is safely home. I know when we saw each other at the party end June we thought we were going to do the same roadshow in July but I guess we did different ones??? I am back at Melbicks next weekend but not sure who I will take now my little girl is reserved. Are you & Jet coming to the September get together on 21st??? It would be lovely to see you but I know it isn't local for you. Love to you & Jet. I will update on my lad as time passes. He is currently sparked out next to Daddy. Take care & hope to see you again soon. Xx

Oh seana what fantastic news although got to admit im in no way surprised and can see that having only met you twice, what a wonderful, thoughtful, caring lady you are. I first met you on our debut roadshow at mell square and will always remember you coming straight over to jet and I with that beautiful poem you'd found for me you wanted to show me after loosing our precious boy vinnie and it was so beautiful and it really touched me how you'd thought about us. So i for one am over the moon you have murphy...he couldn't ask for a better family and how wonderful melly has his son back! Don't think jet ever had a litter but id feel so lucky if he did and we found one of them! Wish you all love and happiness xxx

Thk you shanishoo. I have shed buckets since yesterday but am now putting the stress behind me & am just so relieved to have him home. His new stepbrother is currently washing his tummy!!! He has taken nicely to the sofa!! And I am going to feed little & often so hopefully we will get weight on in the next couple of werks. He will have to have vets visits & a dental when strong enough but please god he will be strong enough for it all. RIP Peggy...always remembered. We are all going to stay positive and be thankful for all that we have. X

Thank you to all for your concern. After a sleepless night & a few conversations my grandboy is now where he should be....with blood family. His Father was delighted to see him again & his stepbrother welcomed him with his usual big smile, tail wags & licks. Patience, love & kindness as well as regular food are what is needed now. There is no point in my describing my bitterness as it would not be printable. I have to live with the fact that I didnt take him 3 years ago & that guilt will stay for a very long time so that is my punishment. I didnt because I felt it would have been wrong to choose out of my 5 that came in from the track & there was no way I could afford 5 more mouths to feed. I am confident he will enjoy being with his Father & Teddy & I will be working hard with the support of my wonderful colleagues & volunteers at DB to ensure no one feels pushed out. I do believe in fate & feel that my lovely girl Bell was reserved this week because someone up above knew that I was going to be needed elsewhere for a higher priority. My profuse apologies to Jane who was going to foster him but I just dont feel under the circumstances I can take the risk of letting him out of my sight. I believe she is interested in Eric & that will be wonderful if that match goes ahead. He has waited very patiently & is such a lovely boy. As I sign off my lad is asleep on the sofa next to me with his Father on the other side of me. A happy Sunday after all.

I am lying in my cosy bed wrapped in my duvet & snuggly blanket feeling quite dejected. I feel rather down son that you find yourself in this situation when I am comfortable. Mummy says I must not get my paws all wound up and everything will be alright. Please Auntie Kate & Auntie Jo give my son an extra big hug from me and tell him I will visit as soon as Mummy can bring me in. I know she will see my handsome boy Monday. Thinking of you son. Be brave and stay strong. We all love you. Daddy Melly Xxx

Sadly Murphy has been returned to the kennels today. His owners circumstances have changed and he has to be left on his own for several hours. He suffers from separation anxiety and is finding the new routine very stressful. He is a lovely lad who gets on well with other dogs and walks great on the lead.
He would like a home where someone is at home most of the time to keep him company. Xxx

Accidentally pressed the button before I had finished. Naturally as your grandmother I am very upset and your Father is sad too. We have often thought about you and your brothers and sister and hoped that you were all very happy. I will bring Daddy down once you have settled in and we will go for a walk and a talk but till then see you Monday. Try not to worry. Everything will be alright. Lots of love from Daddy, me & your stepbrother. Xx

I hadn't seen much of Danny until he came out for a walk with me and Lady today. He is a very friendly and loveable hound and should fit in really easily with a very lucky family. I have also established that he is very keen on a tasty treat.
