Peaky's Trainer says he is great with children, although he does like to jump up and give you a hug! He would be happiest in a home with another dog or with a family where there is someone at home most of the time.

Truly devastated to hear the news of Tony. Always greeting whoever walked towards the office doors with such kindness and joy. With his fancy green collar and bulging out letters spelling his name! Such a superstar to Ruth, the family and Daybreaks. Thoughts and prayers at this time! Love to all.. xx

Dear Ruth and Andy, I am absolutely heartbroken for you. I know how much you loved your Tony. Xxx He was a beautiful, gentle soul. When he looked at anyone, he made you feel like he understood all your worries and stress. :) Xxx He was great with my Skip, even when he sneaked onto Tony's bed in the office, he was happy to share. Xxx
Will miss you so much sweetheart. God Bless his new special Angel.
Lots of love Kate and Skip Xxx xxx

Peaky came home with me last night. Bless him, he is being a perfect house guest! Totally clean in the house, ate his dinner nicely (did try to eat Tiggers too!) and enjoyed lots of fuss. He played ‘let’s run up and down the stairs’ with Tiggy before crashing out on his bed for the evening.
He came upstairs and slept all the the night.... he is just so adorable and loving- he might just keep coming home with me until he finds his new home x
Lucy has added some stunning new photos of him... he his heart melting x
Monday 15 Feb 22:20
Peaky enjoyed being at the kennels today. He had a lovely long walk in the park with Liz this morning, then spent a while in one of the runs where the sun came out and it was actually quite warm! Later this afternoon he wandered around the kennels with Tiggy, Momma, Skip and Lyra. :)) He is a lovely lad. Xxx

Peaky came for a walk with me today to Elmdon Park. First of all though, I had to get him leaded up. After receiving a hug from him on entering his kennel and having done a few 360s trying to get his coat, lead and muzzle on him, we were ready to go. He maintains a good pace and likes being out front. I don't think he is quite so keen on all the mud at the moment though! It is pretty boggy around the nature reserve and on several occasions we got half way across the mud/ lying water only for him to decide he wasn't too keen it!! A little bit of coaxing and we were in our way again. He is a very handsome boy and I don't think he wanted to ruin his good looks with muddy paws!! We walked for over an hour and he met lots of other dogs and showed very little interest in most of them. He certainly attracted a few admirers with his stunning looks and stood calmly for some fuss. Here's hoping he doesn't have to wait long for his forever home xx

Sadly Peaky has been returned today. His owners are very distraught at returning him, he may be suited to a home with older children and where there is someone at home most of the time.

Tony is home
WARNING…. It’s going to be a post like an Oscar’s speech!
I want to say thank you to those who took the time to comment following the tragic loss of our precious boy Tony. It meant so much to us.
My gratitude goes to Kate and Debbie at Fivelands Vets for their help and compassion and to Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service for looking after him in critical care prior to us saying goodbye.
Our sincere thanks go to Graham and Joe at Companions Pet Cremation Services in Wythal for their amazing support and compassion. It truly helped us knowing Mr T was treated with kindness and respect on his final journey. I’ll never forget the way you helped me when I brought him on his last journey to you - you became friends that day….
Finally thank you to my true friends who has supported me in my distraught disbelief of his tragedy with calls and messages - we are still numb and broken.
Thank you to Tanworth Garage (Tony was well known there!) for the beautiful bouquet and to Mollie for lovely photo frame and flowers. I think you will miss his constant licking! Life was enriched by having Tony since he came to us as a returnee in February 2021. He left a legacy of being the perfect boy everybody wanted to adopt.
